Therefore we have signed up to the BMH charter
BMH is based on existing strategies and programmes and is based on a very simple concept.
Provide Awareness for all
Train front line champions
Train and support Mental Health First Aiders
Mutual recognition across the sector so that there is just one national framework
Building Mental Health signposts our sector to existing resources, including, a free to download, Toolbox Talk – The BMH TBT
Over the coming months we are looking to train one of our assessors as an MHFA Mental Health Instructor. This will enable us to offer training within the membership on how to identify and deal with mental health concerns.
We will also be better informed to give support and guidance to our members.
Courses should be available to members by the end of 2018. With all apprentices receiving training as part of there apprenticeship scheme.
